The cutest Otter!!

Print in place with no support and no assembly required. Just slice and print!

Feel free to scale them up or down as much as you want (the limit is your printer).

It is designed with embedded magnets to grab a rock and other Otters. Check out this short video to see it in action.

The Otter and the magnet rock are designed to fit 8x3 mm cylindrical magnets, and there's a second version of the rock that fits a 10 mm steel ball. Both work great, but the magnet rock has a stronger grip.

Pre-painted 3MF file also included!!

CONSIDERATIONS:

Obviously, those magnets won't fit if the model is scaled. I've provided a version of the Otter without the magnet holes as well.

You will need to add a pause to the print to insert the magnets. It should be done just when the preview shows the first layer closing the hole, so the printer pauses just before that layer starts (about 10.2 mm in height).

I recommend placing opposite magnet polarities on each hand and each side of the rock. This way the hands can close together. Additionally, if you use the same configuration on all the Otters they will be able to hold hands 😁

A good first layer is mandatory for the print to succeed. Be sure your printer is calibrated and you have good bed adhesion.

I recommend a slow and thick first layer (8 mm/s and 0.3 mm).

Good layer cooling is also recommended, as it prevents curling and warping on overhangs.
